Low Leaf - GiGA GAiA EP
Los Angeles artist Low Leaf finally releases GiGA GAiA, the follow up to her critically acclaimed CHRYSALIS EP from last year. GiGA GAiA continues Low Leaf’s exorcism of sounds that have been in refinement since 2008; a bold effort to effectively combine her skills with singing, rapping, production, piano and of course her signature harp into something very original in today’s musical landscape. Low Leaf explicitly states in the liner notes that this is merely just a compilation of experiments, not a true reflection of what she intends to reveal. Looks like we’ll have to wait for the “real” form of Low Leaf to show up in the future, but until then, we have CHRYSALIS and now GiGA GAiA to hold us down.
